UNICAL COMES ALIVE: MALABOR WORLD CUP (MAWOC) 2017.

The 2017- Late Bassey Ekpo edition of the Malabor World Cup officially began yesterday, Saturday 25th February 2017.

Malabor World Cup is The Biggest Football Tournament in the University of Calabar, organised by the  Office Director Of Sports – Student University Government.

OPENING CEREMONY

The opening cermony took place at the Abraham Ordia Stadium, University of Calabar, at 16:00pm (GMT+1). The stands were full to capacity with spectators watching in clusters around the perimeter of the stadium.Malabor world cup (MAWOC) 2017

It was a beautiful afternoon coloured with brillant displays  from contestants of the Mr And Miss UNICAL 2017 Edition.

The Audition held at  the Senate Chambers, Malabor Student Centre, UNICAL. UNILAG CONVOCATION CEREMONY 2015/2016 Session.

Today, Tueaday 24th January 2017.The University of Lagos community would come alive for the 2015/2016 convocation ceremony.

According to the official programme of events: The concocation week began on the 18th of January with Pre-convocation press conference Thursday 26th of January 2016.

The Convocation Day one slated for 10:00am is to hold at the multipurpose hall complex, main campus Akoka, Lagos.

This event would bring to light Miss Taiwo Bankole(21,system Engineering) and Miss Oyindamola Omotuyi(22, Cell Biology) who both emerged with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 5.0 matching Ayodele Daniel’s feat last year

NAAKIMS-UCC GAMES 2016: CUMSA FINALISTS DISMISSED.

The CUMSA Games 2015 football finalists crashed out of the NAAKIMS-UCC Games yesterday Sunday march 8th 2016, at the Abraham Ordia Stadium.

It was more than a usual Sunday for all teams who participated in the fierce knock-out fixtures. The clinical class one (year 4) went through to the next stage ahead of the Preclinical class one (year 2) on penalties. While the Preclinical class two (year 3) progressed with 1-0 win over Clinical Class 2A ( senior Year5).

The University of Maiduguri has announced that 174 graduates would bag first class degrees, though this over a period of five academic sessions in its combined convocation.it is no mere feat to get such in federal univerisities

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has disclosed that among the five sets of graduands in it’s 22nd – 25th combined convocation are about 172 First Class graduates.

Special Address by Gov. Nyesom Wike At RSUST Convocation Ceremony.

over 1.5 million students to take jamb and entry cut off mark also released

Professor Dibu Ojerinde, the Registrar of jamb has stated that a total of 1,589,175 candidates applied to write the UTME this year. He also stated that the exam would begin on the 27th of February and last a fort night.

He also confirmed that the minimum entry requirement will be 180 marks but also said any institution is free  to raise their cut off due to internal requirements such as course or number of applicants. This was concluded in a meeting headed by the minister of education.

jamb candidates to see results in 30 minutes

The Registrar of the joint admission and matriculation board,JAMB, Professor Dibu Ojerinde  has stated that candidates taking part in the computer based test will see their results 30 minutes after the completion of the exam.

Speaking with reporters ahead of the exam, Professor Dibu said that the results of the candidates will be sent to their phones graphically through short messaging service(sms). However,he also added that online results will be released four days after the exam.

Riot In LASU:SUG leads Protest.

Reports came in that the Student union Government of the Lagos State University, protested yesterday and blocked promi et route around the school campus.

This was as a result of the harrasmemt and alleged illegal fees imposed by miscreants  drivers of the school campus shuttle.
