The residents of Hall 4, Malabor, one of the hostel that for some time has been ignored and poorly maintained and leading to its long-standing dilapidated state has finally come alive, after the intervention of the Vice-Chancellor who saw to the full renovation and repainting of the hostel block.
The hostel which also serves as the official residence of Union official and agencies such as the SUG PRESIDENT, SUG Senate President and Fellowship leaders and the Union of Campus Journalist.
In a press release from the Presidency, the SUG President Comr. Afufu Anthony through his Chief Press Secretary, Odey Martins applauded the Vice-Chancellor for staying through to His Students based leadership agenda.
A visit to the hostel would show that truly work had been done; walls had been repainted, electrical malfunctions have been corrected as well as installation of lighting facilities. The Vice-Chancellor has also directed that Fans that must have been damaged been replaced in such rooms.
Speaking with resident of the halls, many appreciated the efforts of the Vice-Chancellor and the active representation of the SUG president stating that it is a sign that better days are here. It should be noted that the Vice-Chancellor also saw to the complete renovation of Hall 2 hostel after it had been under prolonged renovation for almost 2 Years in august last year.
