AFTER A CRUCIAL MEETING OF THE MANAGEMENT OF NIGER DELTA UNIVERSITY ABLY CHAIRED BY THE VICE CHANCELLOR OF THE INSTITUTION PROF. HUMPREY OGONI AS REGARDS THE FORTH COMMING STUDENTS UNION ELECTIONS IN NIGER DELTA UNIVERSITY, THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTIONS WHERE REACHED.

1.That the elections be shifted to Saturday, 6th of May 2017

2.That the sales of forms be extended to 6pm prompt on Wednesday 26th of April 2017

3.That the Elections form be given out Free to Aspirants

4.That the tenure of the incoming executives terminates in Second Semester

5.That even if an aspirant win’s and is inaugurated, if the yet to be published results prove such a person WAF, he or she will be relieved of office

6.That elections be decentralized

7.That campaigns be moderate and not flamboyant

8.That no external body should interfere with the electoral processes

9.That Deans of Faculties and Head of Departments will fully participate in the electoral process to ensure transparency and credibility of the elections.
