UNN STUDENTS TO ASSESS LECTURERS FOR PROMOTION

UNN TO PROMOTE LECTURERS BASED ON STUDENTS APPRAISAL

The  Memo Reads

STUDENTS COURSE EVALUATION.

This is to inform all the academic staff that the University Appraisal committee (UAC), Appointment and Promotions Committee (A&P), and the University Council have approved that quality of teaching should form an important factor in  promotion of all Academic Staff. Academic staff whose teaching score falls below 50% (as determined by students evaluation) will be denied promotion, no matter how well he/she performs in other criteria.

To this end Students’ course evaluation could commence for. First semester 2016/2017 academic year and the results used for the 2017 appraisal exercise.

By this memo, Deans are asked to convey thus information to all academic staff in their Faculties.

Yours Sincerely

Prof. J.C Ogbonna

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics)
