Photos of the day;
The Sponsio Lecture was delivered by Prof. Imaobong Ekanem (Professor of Pathology), She spoke on “Practicing Medicine with Conscience”. During Her lecture she noted that the priority of the new doctors should remain the patients, beckoning on them to uphold the Hippocratic at all times. She also noted that Medicine was one course that “could take your life away from you” . While enumerating the challenges plaguing the health sector, she encouraged the doctors to remain within the doctor and develop the sector, stating that the exodus of Nigerian trained doctors has not benefitted the country.
Numerous speeches were given by various dignitaries. Prayers and blessings were also delivered by Rev. Nsa Eyo (Chaplain Chapel of Redemption).
The Registrar of The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), was also present as he delivered the certificates to the doctors. The event came to a close after the vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Theresa Ekanem.
