UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA SUG PARLIAMENT SUSPENDS SUG PRESIDENT
REPORTS made available indicates that the UNIABUJA SENATE in its last session suspended its President.
Ugwoke Chris ifeanyichukwu, who emerged as president earlier this year, after dumping his ambition to run for the faculty President of the Faculty of Law. Having received support from two other contestants in the elections and was endeared by a vast majority of the students and staff has been officially stripped off, of his uniabuja SUG presidential power, due to several funds looting allegations levelled against him.
It was clear to some of the Senators, who suggested that He showed no sign of regret nor guilt, as he denied all the allegations levelled against him, in front of UNIABUJA SUG Parliament.
ALLEGATIONS AGAINST HIM
- Four Million Naira(4,000,000) theft from the UNIABUJA SUG Treasury
- Received One Million on falsehood for an official assignment in Lagos meanwhile was comfortably lodged in an hotel in Abuja metropolis.
- Alleged Bribery of certain individuals
The SUG Parliament has fort with suspended him till further notice .
Some of the students on campus described this turn of events as a dissapointment, as Students Union Government in many institutuions has been for self enrichment after elections. And has commended the Parliament for this bold step as in most cases the parliament also benefit, as most presidents influence the inauguration of allies to gain immunity.
